of the Supreme Court and of comments thereon by the

Acting Colonial Secretary as to the working of the

Companies (Sale of Shares) Ordinance No.5 of 1891.

drafting Regulations for Shanghai.

No.5 of 1891.

The general opinion of share brokers and others,

whose views I have heard, is as follows:-

The Ordinance had a very salutary effect when it

came
